What Most Plow Services Leave Behind

Most plowing contracts end when the truck leaves your driveway. Ours doesn’t.

There are two parts of snow removal that homeowners only notice after the fact, and both of them are handled on every Ashwood property, without a phone call and without an extra invoice.

Complete Garage Door Cleanouts

A plow truck clears the driveway, drops the blade, and leaves. What’s left is a wall of packed snow eight to ten inches deep, sitting directly in front of your garage door. Back over it a few times and it compacts into ice. Now your vehicle rides higher than it should, and the top of your SUV meets the frame of your garage door opening. It’s an expensive, entirely avoidable repair and it’s one of the most common winter damage claims we see on properties that switched to us from another provider. Our crews get out of the truck and shovel the garage door apron clean. All of it. Every property, every storm, as part of the service. You don’t have to finish the job we started.

Spring Turf Repairs.
Done Before You Ask.

Plowing and lawns don’t coexist perfectly. Over a full New England winter, driveway edges take damage. Blades catch turf. Ice and salt do their work. That’s the nature of the job, and any contractor who tells you otherwise hasn’t plowed enough winters.

We handle it differently. In late March, after the last storm has passed, we send crews back to every property we plowed. They bring topsoil and grass seed, walk the driveway edges, and repair what winter took.

No inspection request. No punch list. No charge.

Our long-term clients have stopped mentioning turf damage altogether, not because it stopped happening, but because they know Peter’s crews will be back in the spring to set it right. That’s the standard.

Winter Does Damage

Plow blades and ice take a toll on driveway edges over a Connectivut winter. It is unavoidable, and any honest contractor will say so.

We Come Back

After the last storm as passed, our crews return to every property we plowed and walk the driveway edges. No inspection request needed.

Repaired, Not Billed

Topsoil and grass seed, applied where winter did its work. No punch list, no follow-up call, and no charge on your spring invoice.

Yes, we offer 24/7 emergency snow removal services to respond promptly to severe winter storms and keep your property safe.

How can I get a quote for snow and ice removal?

You can request a free quote by contacting us via phone, text, email, or filling out our online contact form.

Do you clear the snow in front of my garage door?

Yes. Our crews hand-shovel the packed snow bank at your garage door on every property, every storm. Most plow services leave eight to ten inches there, which compacts into ice and can damage your vehicle and garage door frame. We consider the driveway unfinished until that area is clear.

What happens if plowing damages my lawn?

We repair it, and you don’t have to ask. Some turf damage along driveway edges is unavoidable over a full Connecticut winter. In late March, we return to every property we plowed with topsoil and grass seed and repair the damage as part of your service. There’s no charge and no need to report it.
